Texan Messes With New Lenox Target, Gets Arrested: Cops

A Texan slipped out of the New Lenox Target with a bottle of whiskey stashed in his clothes but got caught and was arrested, police said.

Brett Bartnik, 28, of Temple, TX, was charged with retail theft in connection with the 6 p.m. Friday incident at the East Lincoln Highway superstore.

An officer sent to the Target was told “Bartnik concealed a bottle of whisky under his clothes and then left the store without paying for it,” police said.

Bartnik was released from custody after he posted bond.
