2 Flat Screen TVs Stolen from Storage Shed

In a separate incident, a 19 year old was charged with theft after police say he tried to steal nearly $1,000 in merchandise from a store.

The following is from the Northbrook Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

Warrant service

Officers were called to a house on Brian Drive regarding a dispute at 4 p.m. Aug. 30. While at the residence officers learned that resident Jacek Zukowski, 48, had an outstanding warrant from DuPage County. He was taken into custody processed and released after posting $6,000 bond.

Driving with a suspended license

Officers stopped Guy H. Clarke, 47, of the 500 block of Martin Luther King Jr. in Waukegan, for a traffic violation in the 2700 block of Willow Road at 8 a.m. Sept. 2. Officers learned that his driver’s license was suspended. He was released on $1,500 bond with a Sept. 18 court date.

Identity theft

A victim reported learning that some of her personal information was used to open a Comcast account.

Retail theft

Christian Rangel, 19, of the 1700 block of Old Deerfield Road in Highland Park, was seen by store security attempting to steal a belt, a pair of sunglasses and a jacket worth $980 from a store in the 1500 block of Lake Cook Road at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 2. The defendant was detained by store security until officers arrived. He was taken into custody and held awaiting bond court.

Bike theft

Someone stole a locked 26” black Specialized mountain bike worth $700 from the rack on the west side of tracks in the 1400 block of Shermer Road sometime between 7:54 a.m. and 6:15 p.m. Sept. 2.

Flat screen TVs stolen

Someone entered an unlocked storage shed at the rear of property in the 1800 block of Skokie Highway between Aug. 18 and Sept. 4 and took two flat screen televisions and cable satellite equipment. There was no estimate of the cost to replace the equipment at the time.

Turnstile damaged

Two subjects damaged a turnstile at the park in the 1700 block of Techny Road by removing the bolts holding the metal turnstile in place. It was then knocked over. Security video showed two subjects entering the park after 10 p.m. Sept. 3, holding a flashlight. Police continue to investigate the incident.
