Blue Bows Displayed In Northbrook To Thank Coronavirus Responders
Robin Fields, owner of Toffee Break Desserts, is leading an effort to display blue bows around Northbrook to support coronavirus responders.

NORTHBROOK, IL — Over the past two weeks, the village of Northbrook has been adorned with blue bows, which are meant to show gratitude to health care workers, public services employees and other essential service providers who risk their health to fight the spread of the coronavirus. Toffee Break Desserts owner Robin Fields, who is spearheading this effort, said she has distributed roughly 1,000 bows and is working with three volunteers to package around 1,000 more.
Bows can be picked up for free at Little Louie's, 1342 Shermer Road, and Ace Hardware's Northbrook location, 1941 Cherry Lane. Bows come with a card asking residents to join the effort to support and show gratitude to everyone working on the front line against the coronavirus.
"Not all superheroes wear capes," the card read. "During times like this, we all must stay vigilant and keep our heads held high."
