Buttimer Receives Degree From Penn State
Shannon Buttimer, a 2016 graduate of Glenbrook North High School, earned her PhD in ecology from Pennsylvania State University. She is now working as a postdoctoral scholar for Penn State as well as a lecturer for Sacramento State.

Shanahan Earns Faculty Honors At Georgia Tech For Summer 2025
Ryan Shanahan, of Northbrook, earned the distinction of Faculty Honors for Summer 2025 at the Georgia Institute of Technology. This designation is awarded to undergraduate students who have earned a 4.0 academic average for the semester.
