Loving wife of the late Gerald M. Rubin. Cherished mother of Francine (Dr. Leslie R.) Cohen and the late David Henry (Joan) Brandwein. Proud grandmother of Daniel (Shana) Cohen and Andrea (Jared) Charrette, Michael (Allie) Brandwein, and Mark (Jiwan) Brandwein. Beloved great grandmother of Eli, Zoey, Eliana and Arlan David. Loving daughter of the late David H. Greenberg and the late Anna R. Greenberg. Dear sister of the late Dr. Janice Greenberg Herz. Elaine was an active volunteer with The United Order of True Sisters, and twice a president of her chapter. Life member of Hadassah; active through her 50's, a Brownie and Girl Scout leader, active in PTA, and ran the Children's Theater series in District 68/Skokie. She volunteered and worked with The Smithsonian Museums from 1994 – 2001. With her husband Gerald Rubin, she travelled widely, enjoying and exploring 28 countries around the globe. Elaine spent her last 14 years near her daughter Francine and son-in-law Les Cohen. Graveside service Wednesday 12 Noon at Westlawn Cemetery (Carnation section) 7801 W. Montrose Ave., Norridge.
