Jewelry and Cash Taken in Midday Burglary on Arrowwood
A woman was also arrested for DUI on Waukegan.

Car burglarized
Someone entered an unlocked 2011 Ford Edge in the 600 block of Michelline on Sept. 3 and removed an Apple iPod and a pocket knife with a combined value of $165.00.

Warrant service
Brett A. Kelly, 54, of the 800 block of School St. in Prospect Heights, was stopped for a traffic violation at Willow and Shermer roads at 2 a.m. Sept. 6. Officers learned he had an active warrant for a conditional release violation. He was placed under arrest and released on $2,000 bond with a Sept. 29 court date.

Wallet stolen
Someone took a wallet containing $2,000, various IDs and credit cards from a purse in a shopping cart while the owner was shopping in the 1000 block of Willow Road at 11:30 p.m. Sept. 6.
DUI
Latasha M. Arterberry, 24, of the 1400 block of Brown Ave., was pulled over at 1:30 a.m. Sept. 7 at Waukegan Road and Maple Avenue after officers saw her make an illegal U-turn and several additional traffic violations. After speaking to her, the officer determined she was driving under the influence. She was charged with DUI, improper lane usage and improper U turn, and was released on $1,000 bond with a Sept. 24 court date.
Burglary
The victim said she left her residence in the 200 block of Arrowwood at noon Sept. 7. When she returned 45 minutes later, she found a window screen in the kitchen that was pushed in and lying on the floor, the patio door was also standing open. Officers arrived and found several dresser drawers and cabinet doors open in the master bedroom. Numerous pieces of jewelry and cash were taken from a dresser. No estimate of lost items was available.
Warrant service
Officers stopped the vehicle driven by Bharatkumar Patel, 41, of the 14600 block of S. Karlov Ave in Midlothian, at Willow and Landwehr roads at 9 p.m. Sept. 7 and learned that he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for driving while his license was suspended. He was placed under arrest, transported to the police department, and processed to await bond court.
Identity theft
Someone opened numerous credit card accounts in a resident’s name and charged more than $8,100 to them.
Identity theft
Officer’s responded to the bank in the 200 block of Skokie Hwy Sept. 10 when the bank teller became suspicious of the ID a customer presented for a withdrawal. Officers located the customer, Dinu R. Rascol, 30, of the 3900 block of Mayfair St. in Dearborn Heights, MI, as he left the bank. Officers determined that the out of state driver’s license he was using was fraudulent and placed him under arrest for possession of a fictitious driver’s license. He was processed and placed in a cell waiting to be transported to bond court.
Burglary to motor vehicles.
Someone entered unlocked vehicles that were parked in a driveway in the 300 block of Anjou Sept. 11. Both glove compartments were open but nothing appears to have been taken.
