Lake Cook Road Bridge Work Begins April 13
Rehabilitation of the Lake Cook Road bridge will begin on April 13.
NORTHBROOK, IL — Rehabilitation work on the Lake Cook Road bridge over U.S. Route 41 in Northbrook is expected to begin April 13, weather permitting, the Illinois Department of Transportation announced Monday. Lake Cook Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction through this process from just west of Skokie Boulevard to just east of Winona Road.
Repair work will include reconstruction of deck joints, repairing the substructure and deck and installing a new deck overlay and approaches. The project is estimated to be finished by late September.
Motorists should expected delays and should allow extra time for trips through the area. They also should pay close attention to flagers and signs in the work zones.
