NORTHBROOK, IL — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented times. Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these everyday heroes.

"Miss Carol" as she's known to preschool children, has been donating her time to create weekly original performances using puppets, songs and stories to engage the littlest learners on behalf of Jewish Community Center Chicago.

What’s one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?:
While Carol Kaufman-Kerman is well-known for being the sister of comedian and TV star Andy Kaufman, she is also a highly sought-after storyteller and dramatist who has performed at Caroline's On Broadway in NYC.
