Northbrook-Glenview School District 30 To Name New Superintendent

Board of Education members will announce a replacement for the retiring Brian Wegley this week after a month of final rounds of interviews.

NORTHBROOK, IL — The Northbrook/Glenview District 30 Board of Education will name a new superintendent at its Thursday meeting following a month-long interview process during which finalists for the job were considered.

Thursday’s 7 p.m. announcement comes on the heels of the two rounds of interviews, which were conducted by BWP & Associates, which is overseeing the search. A district spokesperson told Patch on Monday that the firm has recommended not publicly revealing names of the finalists until after the interview process has been completed.

The new superintendent replaces Brian Wegley, who will retire from the position on June 30. Since Wegley’s announcement, district officials have conducted community forums to help create a leadership profile to fit the needs of the district moving forward.

The district has not announced how many finalists were considered for the job and who were interviewed by board members over the past month.

Wegley has served as superintendent since 2015 and the district said his leadership has been critical to the success of several key projects, including the construction of the new Maple School.
