Northbrook Touch A Truck Event Returns This Weekend
The annual event put on by the Northbrook Park District offers area kids the chance to get up close and personal with a variety of vehicles.

NORTHBROOK, IL — Local kids will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with a variety of trucks and other vehicles this weekend when a family favorite returns to Northbrook.
The Northbrook Park District will again host its annual Touch-A-Truck event, which will be held between 10 a.m. and noon on Saturday at Underwriters Laboratories, which is located at 333 Pfingston Road in Northbrook.
The event, which is free, will include Case and John Deere tractors, a golf course rider mower, a dump truck, a plow, a variety of utility vehicles, an ice rink re-surfacer, and other vehicles, the park district said.

In addition, a fire engine and ambulance from the Northbrook Fire Department, a cement mixer from Ozinga Concrete, two Northbrook Police cruisers, and a village snowplow will also be included in the line-up of vehicles that local kids can explore during the event.
All participants under the age of 13 will receive a free pizza coupon from Lou Malnati’s and Culver’s will be on hand to provide food and giveaways, organizers said.

Adult supervision for young children will be required.
