Parts Stolen Off Parked Cars
The following arrest information was supplied by the Northbrook Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
DUI
On Aug. 29, Kevin Engbrecht, 38, of Deerfield, was stopped for a traffic violation near Waukegan Road and Lake Cook Road, and was arrested when officers determined he was DUI, according to police. He was charged with DUI, speeding, improper lane usage and disobeying a traffic signal, police say.
Vehicular Burglary
On Aug. 29, someone on the 900 block of Dundee Road reported a broken front passenger side window, with their wallet, ID and credit cards missing, according to police.
On Aug. 3, someone on the 2200 block of Carlson Drive reported $5,000 worth of power tools was stolen from a company vehicle, according to police.
On Aug. 26, three catalytic converters were stolen off cars between the 2300 and the 2500 blocks of Shermer Road, according to police.
Warrant Arrest
On Aug. 25, officers charged Dmitry Godin, 33, of Winnetka, for a warrant he had over speeding 40 mph over the posted limit, according to police. Officers arrested him because he was the passenger in a vehicle that was stopped for a traffic violation, police say.
