Police Respond to Shoplifting Call and Make Cocaine Arrest
Officers saw the man throw baggies containing cocaine out the window of his car, police said.

Cocaine possession
Officers responded to the business in the 800 block of Willow Road at 5 p.m. Sept. 29 for a report of retail theft. The complainant observed two subjects in a vehicle with a man later identified as Craig A. Nelson, 29, of the 1600 block of West Division in Chicago, entering the passenger side. Officers stopped the vehicle in the 1300 block of Techny Rd.

While speaking to the driver, officers saw the passenger throw something out his door. Officers recovered two baggies containing a white powdery substance. The powder tested positive for cocaine. Nelson was placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance and was placed in cell pending bond hearing.

A resident reported receiving notice that the address for her credit card had changed. She checked her other accounts and discovered that $4,095 was withdrawn from one account.
Car damaged at GBN
Someone damaged a vehicle during the school day Sept. 26 at Glenbrook North. There was damage to the front windshield and a scratch on the hood.
