Sunset Foods' Northbrook location was sterilized after an employee tested positive for coronavirus.

NORTHBROOK, IL — An employee of Sunset Foods in Northbrook has tested positive for coronavirus, the company announced Thursday. The store closed once it learned about the positive test result in accordance with Cook County protocols but will reopen Friday following a thorough cleaning and sterilization process.
The employee's last shift was April 10. Once the person's test result was discovered Thursday, a company specializing in coronavirus sanitation came in to sterilize the building.
"We continue to follow the CDC guidelines as well as communicate with local health departments to respond responsibly," Sunset Food Mart president and CEO John Cortesi said in a statement.
