Woman, Dog Killed In Metra Train Crash: Authorities

The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office classified the death as an accident.

GLENCOE, IL — A Glencoe woman was fatally hit by a Metra train over the weekend, according to authorities, who said a dog was also found dead at the scene.

Authorities identified the victim Sunday as 48-year-old Daniella V. Weisman.

Emergency personnel responded around 9:30 a.m. Saturday to a report of a person struck by a train in the area of Green Bay and Maple Hill roads in Glencoe, according to authorities. Weisman was pronounced dead at the scene.
