Edward-Elmhurst Health welcomes Maddalena Buscemi, CNM, DNP, APRN

Maddalena Buscemi, CNM, DNP, APRN, a certified nurse midwife, has joined Midwifery & Women’s Health of Elmhurst Clinic.

Buscemi earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Loyola University Chicago and her Doctor of Nursing Practice in Midwifery from the University of Illinois Chicago.

Buscemi’s clinical interests include gynecology, hormone replacement, obstetrics, polycystic ovarian syndromes, sexually transmitted diseases and women’s health. She is a member of the American College of Nurse Midwives.

The midwives at Elmhurst Clinic practice evidence-based and holistic care using a model of shared decision-making and informed consent. They support personal choices in birth so patients can take control of their birthing experience, instead of letting the experience happen to them.
