Man Found Shot To Death Inside Car In Oak Brook: Police

Officers responded after a 911 call reported that several shots had been fired into a vehicle just after midnight on 22nd Street.

OAK BROOK, IL — A man was found shot to death in his car in Oak Brook early Wednesday morning after police responded to a report of several gunshots being fired in the area, police said.

The shooting took place just past midnight, police said, and officers responded to the area of 22nd Street and Camden Court, where a 911 call reported that several shots were fired into a vehicle, Oak Park Police said.

Police and fire units responded and officers found a man dead inside the vehicle. Police said the incident appears to be isolated and that the suspect, in this case, poses no threat to the public, police said.

No one is in custody at this time, and investigators are following several leads, police said.
