Richton Park Shooting Suspects Crash Truck, Flee On Foot In Oak Forest
The two men evaded authorities late Wednesday into early Thursday.
OAK FOREST, IL — A police chase of two suspects in a shooting in Richton Park Wednesday night extended into Oak Forest, ending with the two men eluding authorities around midnight Thursday.
The two men fled the shooting in a black Ford F-150, via I-57. Their vehicle "proceeded to get on and off I-57 between 147th and 167th streets," ultimately crashing just east of George Brennan Highway and Arrowhead Trace, Oak Forest police said.
The two men in dark clothing abandoned the vehicle, fleeing on foot with a sighting in the Gingerwood neighborhood, police said. Oak Forest police were called in to help with the search, with Richton Park police ultimately calling it off, police said.
