Driver Shot In Face In Possible Road Rage In Bridgeview, Other Driver Still At Large: Cops
A witness told police that the two drivers got into a traffic altercation, resulting in one of the involved parties getting shot.

BRIDGEVIEW, IL — A driver was shot in the face Tuesday evening in a possible road rage incident near 100th Street and Harlem Avenue, Bridgeview police said.
Around 7 p.m., two drivers are believed to have gotten into an altercation that began around 90th Street and Harlem Avenue. Both vehicles continued southbound on Harlem when one of the drivers shot the other under the bridge at 100th Street and Harlem Avenue.
Chief Riccardo Mancha, of the Bridgeview Police Department, told Patch both drivers were male. The driver who was shot suffered a graze wound to the face that entered his shoulder. He was transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn. The wounds are non-life threatening.

“We’re not yet sure what it is, but a witness said it was road rage,” Mancha said. “The investigation is still in the preliminary stages.”
The police chief said one of the two parties involved dumped his guns near 103rd Street. A source from another agency told Patch that the guns were found by a 73rd Avenue by a resident in their front yard. The second involved person remains at large.

It is undetermined if both drivers had guns or if they knew each other.
Evidence technicians could be seen combing Harlem Avenue under the bridge looking for shell casings. The southbound lanes of Harlem Avenue were shut down between 99th Street and 103rd street as police investigated the scene.
