Acorn To Oak Plans Magical Forest Event, Tiny Art Show, Second Chance Art Sale, Art Market

OAK LAWN, IL — Step into a world of enchantment and wonder at Acorn to Oak Studios’ Magical Forest, on Saturday, July 26. The family-friendly event is free to attend and runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the north wing of Pilgrim Faith United Church of Christ, 9411 S. 51st Ave., Oak Lawn.

Get inspired by nature, imagination and community. Enjoy free crafts by making a fairy home or a pair of fairy or butterfly wings. Meet the Forest Fairy and learn about forest animals and maybe even pet a few. Other add-ons, like face painting, are available for a small fee.

Artists and crafters can also declutter by selling their unused art and craft supplies at the 2nd Chance Art Supply Sale, along with local artists and crafters selling their creations at an open art market.
The highlight of the Magical Forest event is the Tiny Art Show. The canvases will be on display. The studio will select a winner, and patrons can also select their favorite for prizes.

BSA Troop 596 will be selling concessions.
