Collections Fees Waived 5 Days On Overdue Moving Violations In Cook County 'Amnesty Week'
From April 14 through April 18, motorists can clear up overdue moving violation tickets without incurring additional collection fees.

COOK COUNTY – Motorists who have overdue moving violations in Cook County can clear up their tickets without incurring additional collection fees in a limited-time opportunity offered by the Circuit Court of Cook County.
Amnesty Week starts April 14 and continues through April 18. This does not include parking tickets or red light violations. Amnesty Week has not been offered since 2019.
“As Clerk of the Circuit Court, I see our role not only as administrators of justice but as advocates for fairness and accessibility within the court system,” said Mariyana Spyropoulos in a news release, Clerk of the Circuit Court of Cook County. “This amnesty initiative is part of a broader effort to remove financial barriers that disproportionately impact working families. By waiving collection fees, we’re helping residents take meaningful steps toward resolving their cases and restoring trust in a system that should work for everyone.”
