Bridgeview Man Nabbed In Oak Lawn After Burglary In Progress
Oak Lawn police said the man broke a window at a residence and then stole items out of a vehicle.

OAK LAWN, IL — A Bridgeview man is accused of breaking into a vehicle and trying to break into a residence in the early morning hours of July 1. Enrique Raya, 28, is charged with felony counts of burglary, burglary to a motor vehicle and attempted residential burglary.
Around 5 a.m., Oak Lawn police responded to a burglary in progress in the 6700 block of 87th Place that was called in a witness. Police flooded the area and found a man, later identified as Raya, running several blocks away, police said.
Raya is said to have matched the description given by a witness and was stopped by police.

Items from a vehicle were recovered, along with evidence from a house Raya broke a window but did not gain entry, police said.
In addition to the most recent charges, Raya also has a pending burglary case out of Bridgeview.
