Chicago Man, Teen Threatened To Shoot Man In Head In Carjacking: PD
Damarco Vaughn, 19, faces charges as does a 17-year-old teen who police said stole a vehicle at gunpoint from a man in Chicago Ridge.

CHICAGO RIDGE, IL — A 19-year-old Chicago man and a 17-year-old juvenile have been charged after police said they carjacked a man in Chicago Heights earlier this month after threatening to shoot the man in the head if he did not comply, Chicago Heights Police said.
Damarco Vaughn, 19, Chicago faces charges of aggravated vehicular highjacking in the incident, which police said took place on Sept. 1 in the 10000 block of South Oxford. A 17-year-old juvenile was also charged with aggravated vehicular highjacking and unlawful use of a weapon, police said.
The juvenile also has a prior charge of vehicular highjacking and was released to his parents following a hearing. Police said that Vaughn remains in custody and has a history of prior gun charges.

Police said that the victim told officers that two men arrived at a local business and requested to test drive a vehicle that was listed for sale. As the driver drove to the end of a dead end at 103rd Street and Oxford, one of the men who was in the backseat of the vehicle pulled out a gun and pointed it at the victim's head, police said.
The driver then pulled out another gun and pointed it at the man's stomach, police said. The victim told police the men then threatened to shoot him in the head. The two men then took the victim's cell phone and left the area in the stolen vehicle, police said.

Officers located the stolen vehicle later that evening at 95th Street and Wentworth. Police arrested three men, two of whom were positively identified as being involved in the carjacking, police said. Police also located two loaded handguns while they were arresting the two men.
Another juvenile who was not involved in the incident but was located inside the of stolen vehicle was charged with criminal trespass and was turned over to his mother, police said.
