Construction Crew Hits Gas Line On Harlem Avenue, Street Shut Both Ways

BRIDGEVIEW, IL — Traffic is shut down in both directions on Harlem Avenue in Bridgeview, after a construction crew struck a gas line on Harlem Avenue.

The mishap happened around 1:50 p.m. Friday. Traffic is shut down on both sides of Harlem from 82nd to 87th Avenues.

Bridgeview police are asking motorists to avoid the area until the gas line can be repaired. The Bridgeview Fire Department is also on the scene.
