Bring Your Bluey-Loving Kids To Penny Lane Open House Saturday In Chicago Ridge

Meet Stitch and Bluey at Penny Lane School's Open House this Saturday, Sept. 6, in Chicago Ridge.

CHICAGO RIDGE, IL — Bring your Stitch and Bluey-loving kids to Penny Lane School, 10255 Ridgeland Ave., Chicago Ridge, for an open house this Saturday, Sept. 6, from 10 a.m. to noon.

Come meet Stitch and Bluey, pose for photos, and have fun exploring the playground, gymnasium, and classrooms at Penny Lane. All community members are invited and don’t have to be enrolled in the school to attend.

This is not a dropoff event. Families must remain with their children at all times.

Founded in 1988, Penny Lane offers two childcare/early childhood centers in Chicago Ridge and Oak Lawn at 4527 Southwest Highway, for children ages 6 weeks old to PreK. The schools also provide before and after school care for older children up to age 12, with morning shuttle service and afternoon school pickup. Both schools are open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and meals and snacks are provided.

For 18 years running, Penny Lane has been named “Best of Southland” by the Daily Southtown. The program also meets the stringent requirements for accreditation of the National Association for the Education of Young Children.

The Chicago Ridge early childhood center also provides a full-day kindergarten, including early and after school care, breakfast, lunch and snacks.

A large turnout is expected this Saturday. Parking is available in the main lot next to the school as well as across the street. (Please don’t double-park or block any other cars.)

Overflow parking will also be directed to use the lot behind Chicago Ridge Village Hall at 105th Street and Oxford.
