Molly Cameron Stellar April In Girls Track And Field Nets OLCHS Athlete Of The Month Honor

OAK LAWN, IL — Senior Molly Cameron’s breakout season in girls track and field continued this April. Between the high jump and triple jump, she compiled eight first-place finishes along with three second-place finishes during the month. She also is a four-time champion at invitationals in that same time span.

As a result, Cameron has been named the Oak Lawn Community High School “Athlete of the Month” for April.

“She is ranked number-one in the South Suburban Conference as well and number-one in the Illinois High School Association Oak Park Sectional,” head coach Joe Butler said. “To top that off, she is currently the eighth-ranked high jumper in the state of Illinois. Her leadership by example along with her willingness to master a new event during her senior year is a coach’s dream.”
