OAK LAWN, IL — Oak Lawn police will be staking out the rooftops of local Dunkin Donuts locations to raise money and awareness for Special Olympics Illinois. The statewide “Cop On Top” event runs from 5 a.m. to noon Friday, May 16.

Start your Friday morning off right by making a donation to Special Olympics Illinois and get a coupon for a free donut at Dunkin. A donation of $10 or more gets you the donut and a medium-size coffee. Officers will also be handing out giveaways (while supplies last) and selling merchandise for the Law Enforcement Torch Run.

The delightful officers of the Oak Lawn Police Department will be at two Dunkin’ locations: 10801 S. Cicero and 9500 S. 50th Court (next to the train station). All donations go to Special Olympics. There will be merchandise for sale at both locations. Any donation gets a coupon for a free donut and a $10 donation will get a free mug (while supplies last).

Representatives from the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Illinois will be collecting money that goes directly to support programming for Special Olympics athletes across the state.

Can’t make it Friday? Donations are also being accepted online. Donors can specify a police department.
