Spartans Earn IHSA Scholastic Achievement Awards For Winter Sports
Oak Lawn Community High School student athletes were honored for excellence on the field and in the classroom with IHSA awards.

OAK LAWN, IL — Each sports season the Illinois High School Association gives out Scholastic Achievement Awards for student-athletes who excel on the field and in the classroom. Here is a rundown of Oak Lawn Community High School athletes that earned the award for the winter sports season.
In boys basketball the recipients were John McGowan, Christopher Jones, Hussam Sharfi, and Ammar Alsalhi.
The girls' badminton teamed cleaned up as the award winners were Izabela Pawlikowski, Grace Burke, Soleil Wallack, Seneen Yassin, Reem Al-Adwan, Isabella Smykowski, Yusra Abdelrahman, Jeneen Yassin, Noor Adi, Hiba Ouarerhni, Monaya Ali, Lilian Fariz, Aneta Dzielska, Jessica Kasprzak, Adriana Hall, and Iman Khater.

The boys bowlers who earned the award were Michael Jensen and Steven Hebel. In the boys swimming and diving the award winners were Islam Shehata, Akram Abdallah, Eduardo Lamboy Ramirez, Giovanni Rodriguez, Marcin Landa, Devin Sheehan, Gavin Sheehan, Raymond Lomax, Lucas Fritz, Alan Prymon, and Scott Barr.
The competitive cheer award winners were Anisa Ramos and Bianca Bafia while competitive dance had Aleksandria Potoczny and Taylor Fabian win the award.

In girls basketball the award winners were Arianna Andersen, Eman Alshaikh, Carolyn Soukouna, Madeline Fox, Mia Kennelly, Shadya Abdelrahman, Emily Mallo, and Heather Jackson. The girls bowlers to earn the award were Margaret Hennessy, Sarah Lindsay, and Caitlyn Sierzega.
