2 Coronavirus Cases Confirmed In Orland Park: Village
Two elderly people in Orland Park have tested positive for the new coronavirus, according to village officials.
ORLAND PARK, IL — There have been two cases of the new coronavirus confirmed in Orland Park as of March 23. Village officials confirmed the number in their daily informational email to residents regarding the outbreak. Neither case refers to the Carl Sandburg High School employee who tested positive for the coronavirus last week.
"We have been lucky enough to have a responsive community that has heeded the warning to stay home if not feeling well," according to the email. "As a result, cases of coronavirus in town have been minimal. There have only been two diagnosed cases in Orland Park as of today."

Both Orland Park coronavirus cases were elderly individuals who have been taken to area hospitals via the Orland Fire Protection District, Fire Chief Michael Schofield confirmed.
Statewide, the number of coronavirus cases has risen above 1,200 with 12 deaths reported as of March 23.
