ORLAND PARK, IL — A man accused of robbing a clerk at a 7-Eleven convenience store in Orland Park early Friday morning has been charged with a felony armed robbery. Orland Park police said they found John P. Sikorski, 40, of Blue Island at a home in Robbins hours after identifying him as the man who robbed the clerk and stole cash and cigarettes from the store.
Police responded to the 7-Eleven at 8100 W. 143rd St. at 12:24 a.m. on April 10 to a report of an armed robbery, but the clerk said the robber had already left.
A video showed the man, who police say is Sikorski, come into the store and pick an item from the cooler before coming up to the clerk and pulling a knife out of his pocket. Police said Sikorski then went behind the counter and grabbed cash out of the store register and cigarettes from a display.
