Aldi, Silver Cross Hospital Could Be Coming Soon To Orland Park: Board
The village board said Silver Cross is interested in building an outpatient center in Orland Ridge and Aldi in building on an annexed site.

ORLAND PARK, IL — Two new developments could soon come to Orland Park including an Aldi, board officials said at Monday's village board meeting.
Silver Cross Hospital told Patch the New Lenox-based hospital system is looking to expand into Orland Park but said specifics such as what the center would include and when construction would start are still being worked out.
According to Mayor Keith Pekau, the development would be built in Orland Ridge, a subdivision currently under construction. Pekau said the hospital had not yet submitted a proposal for the plan as of Monday.

Another hospital is also being built nearby the possible site of the Silver Cross outpatient center. Loyola Medicine constructed a building near the west end of Moraine Valley Community College's Tinley Park campus a few years ago and is expected to open the center for specialty appointments sometime in the next year.
Orland Park officials also introduced a plan to annex nearly six acres of land on the corner of 179th Street and Wolf Road to build an Aldi store. The grocery chain also has a location in nearby Orland Hills. Approval for the annexation and store are pending another board meeting.
