ORLAND PARK, IL — An Orland Park man was arrested at Chicago O'Hare International Airport last week after authorities say he was out of the country for nearly five years after committing a home invasion in the village. Orland Park and Chicago police took Faisal Radi, 35 into custody at the airport on April 24, police said in a news release. He's charged by law enforcement in Orland Park with home invasion, a class X felony.

Radi is accused of forcing his way inside a home in the 9100 block of Fairmont Court on Sept. 18, 2015, police said, and "struck the victim in the face" with a gun. Police say Radi fled the scene, but was identified as the suspect during an investigation.

Police said they were informed by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection that Radi was traveling from Frankfurt, Germany to O'Hare and was set to arrive at the Chicago airport at 4:30 p.m. on April 24. He was arrested on a home invasion warrant that was obtained just five days after the crime was reported.
