On Wednesday, Taylor was driving a small, black vehicle with tinted windows and spoked rimmed wheels, police said. Just after 12:15 p.m., Taylor was passing other traffic on westbound 143rd Street to catch up with the victims' vehicle, police said. When the victims' car stopped at a red light at the Will-Cook Road intersection, Taylor pulled his car next to the passenger side of the victim's car and fired multiple gunshots, police said. The victims' front and rear passenger side doors had several bullet holes from the incident, and Taylor then fled northbound on Will-Cook Road, according to police.
Cook County Sheriffâs Department evidence technicians scouted the scene, and police said preliminary reports suggested the incident was targeted and isolated.
