Orland Park Under Tornado Warning
Storms are expected to bring strong winds and a chance for tornadoes Sunday afternoon.

The National Weather Service has upgraded to a tornado warning for Cook and Will counties until 1:30 p.m.
Thunderstorms with damaging wind gusts of up to 75 mph are expected to roll through the area Sunday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service. A tornado watch extends to much of northern Illinois.
The storms carry the potential to produce strong tornadoes, the weather service reports. High winds are expected to persist all day long.

People are encouraged to get to the lowest floor of indoors, and avoid windows. Damage could happen to roofs and windows on vehicles and homes. Flying debris could be deadly, so remain inside until the storm passes.
