Dist. 135 Budget Crunch: What's On Tonight's Agenda

District 135 is expecting a packed house at tonight's special meeting as parents come to hear more about the $2.5 million deficit.

ORLAND PARK, IL — District 135's board of education is expecting a packed house at Meadow Ridge School as parents come to hear how the district is going to cope with its $2.5 million budget deficit.

The board will revisit a vote from earlier this month that approved cutting junior high programs and elementary staff to help make up the deficit. Those cuts could be rescinded at early as Monday night.

Officials said they will also give a historical look at the financial problems plaguing the district and review other options.
