District 146 Swears In New Board, Sets New Meeting Schedule

The District 146 Board of Education swore in new members, elected officers and set the meeting dates for the next academic school year this

ORLAND PARK, IL — The District 146 Board of Education swore in new members, elected officers and set the meeting dates for the next academic school year this week.

The board welcomed new members Dean Casper, John Malloy and Darcy Nendza. Malloy also was elected president, Darcy Nendza, vice president, and Julie Berry, secretary.

"I am very honored to be chosen by my community to serve once again as a Board Member for District 146,” Malloy said in a statement. “I am also grateful to be selected as board president by a truly outstanding group of individuals that make up our board and take great pride to be in their company. I pledge my service and dedication to help make the educational experience for students and families of this District the best it can be. What's best for kids is what matters."

The board also approved meeting dates for the 2019-2020 school year. The dates can be found on the District website and on the District’s online calendar. There is no meeting in July.

Community Consolidated School District 146 comprises Central Middle School, Fierke Education Center, Fulton School, Kruse Education Center, and Memorial School. Students from Tinley Park, Orland Park, and Oak Forest attend District 146 schools.
