8th Grader 'One In A Million', Dominates On Golf Course: Star Student

ORLAND PARK, IL — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.

Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?

George has been excelling in school ever since starting at Kruse Elementary. He has been in accelerated math since third grade, won young authors awards, math bowl every year and was even chosen in fifth grade as Kruse Illinois Principal Association (IPA) winner! Throughout middle school at Central, he’s consistently had 4.0 GPA all three years, in NJHS, Mathletes and won the IPA award AGAIN in eighth grade! He will be going to Marist next year with their Redhawk Scholarship as well! Aside from academics, George dominates on the golf course as he competes in many national tournaments. In his free time, he loves going to Victory to practice MMA.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?

George is one in a million. He is patient, compassionate, hard working and driven in everything he attempts.
