ORLAND PARK, IL —The consolidated election is April 1, and two spots on the Orland Park Public Library Board of Trustees are up for grabs.
The board consists of seven residents of the Village of Orland Park who are elected biennially to six-year terms, and serve as the policymaking body of the library.
Seeking to keep their seats are incumbents Bridget M. Lindbloom and Charles McShane. They're challenged by John Nugent and Linda S. Michaels.

As incumbents it is easy to get complacent. I hope to bring a fresh view to the job.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
Have position as account 4 years currently and 27 years previously. Held the position as Librarian for 4 years at my DAR (Daughters of American Revolution) Chapter and am now Vice-Regent.
Why should voters trust you?
I'm reliable and loyal. Businesses and organizations have entrusted me and promoted me. I volunteer at Parkview Christian Church every week.
If you win this position, what accomplishment would make your term in office as a success?
To reduce spending thus curtailing increase in taxes.
What are your views on fiscal policy, government spending and the handling of taxpayer dollars in the office you are seeking?
Reduce wasteful spending.
Is there any reason you would not serve your full term of office, other than those of health or family?
No.
