Election 2025: Orland Township Supervisor Candidate Deborah Kirby-Poczatko
The consolidated election is April 1. Early voting begins March 17.

ORLAND TOWNSHIP, IL — The consolidated election is April 1, and Orland Township leadership will inevitably see a shakeup.
Three separate slates will vie for Township spots including supervisor, clerk, highway commissioner, and trustee. Twelve candidates are jockeying for four trustee spots.
Incumbent Orland Township Supervisor Paul O'Grady and his Orland Township Together slate includes clerk candidate Reem Odeh, highway commissioner candidate John Lynch (a current trustee), and trustee candidates Michael Maratea (incumbent), Kristin Hawksworth, Patrick Feldner (incumbent), and Marie Fuesel.

For the Orland Township United slate, current Orland Township Assessor Rich Kelly tops the ticket as supervisor candidate, with incumbent clerk Cindy Murray, current highway commissioner Antonio Rubino for assessor, Tracy Sullivan for highway commissioner, and trustee candidates Michael Schofield, Lena Matariyeh, Danny Flores, and Kelly Metzger.
Several declared Republican candidates are trying for spots, as well. Appearing as Republican candidate for clerk is Shannon Olson. Competing for highway commissioner is Republican candidate William Brennan. Republican candidates Kenneth Duffy, Frank Williams, Kenneth Soltis, and Matthew Keane, Jr. will also contend for trustee spots.

Lack of Transparency and Communication, neglecting infrastructure needs

As township Supervisor position it's important to focus on a cpmprehensive set of issues that resonate with the community and demonstrate my commitment to addressing their needs such as Community Engagement and Transparency, Infrastructure Improvement, etc
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
I have advocated for Veterans and First Responders for PTSD and Suicide prevention, Community Engagements, I have also been a successful Community Project Manager, I have experience in Fiscal Management "While serving as President of Hometown Murray VFW 9773 for many years I managed a buget and identified cost-saving measures that saved our Auxiliary ensuring we could reinvest in our community.

It's essential to and trends convey a clear and responsible approach that prioritizes transparency, accountably and community benefit
What are your thoughts on the crime rate in your community, and what more can be done to combat crime — especially violent crime — in town?
Staying informed about local crime statistics, Emphasize the importance of community sentiment regarding crime and increasing visibility of Law enforcement
What is your view of the city's/village's approach to commercial and residential development?
Balanced Development, Community engagement in the development process, Sustainable development practices should be forefront of any new commercial or residential projects, support local businesses and long term planning
When it comes to development, what are some key areas for improvement or additions you feel are most wanted by residents? What will need to be done to make this happen?
Enhanced Recreational spaces, Safety and Security Enhancements, etc, by identifying these key areas for improvement and outlying actionable steps to make them happen, will demonstrate understanding the needs of the community and my commitment to in the quality of Orland township. Engaging residents in conversations about these priorities will build trust but also ensure that my initiatives with their expectations

Personal Circumstances but I must also say that I'm dedicated to the role of Township Supervisor by proactively addressing scenarios and assure that they are electing a dedicated leader.
