The name ‘Community Connections’ reflects my deep commitment to bringing people together, supporting local businesses, and ensuring that every resident feels valued. As an Orland Township Trustee, I would bring this same dedication—working to enhance programs, improve accessibility, and create a stronger, more connected community for all.
Previous or current elected or appointed office:
None.
The most pressing issues facing our township are _______, and this is what I intend to do about them.
The most pressing issues facing our township include responsible fiscal management, improving community services, and fostering economic growth. I intend to ensure taxpayer dollars are spent efficiently by advocating for financial transparency and prioritizing essential services. Additionally, I will support initiatives that improve local infrastructure, expand community programs, and promote business development to strengthen our local economy.
What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
I bring a fresh perspective, business experience, and a strong community-first mindset. My career in real estate has taught me the importance of smart planning and financial responsibility, skills that are directly transferable to the role of Trustee. I am also deeply engaged with families in the township and understand the everyday challenges they face, making me a strong advocate for policies that improve quality of life.
If you are a challenger, in what way has the current board or officeholder failed the community (or district or constituency)?
Orland Township has many strengths, but there are always opportunities to enhance transparency, inclusivity, and accessibility to resources. Many residents feel that their voices aren’t always heard when it comes to township programs and services. I believe we need to engage more directly with the community, ensuring that programs are modern, relevant, and beneficial to all, from our youth to our seniors. My goal is to bring a fresh perspective, foster open communication, and create initiatives that truly reflect the needs and desires of our diverse community.
Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform.
I am focused on expanding community programs, improving township services, and supporting local businesses. I also want to ensure that families, seniors, and underserved residents have access to the resources they need, from career development opportunities to social services.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
My success as a real estate broker, my ability to manage complex transactions, and my experience working in various business sectors demonstrate my ability to handle financial matters, problem-solving, and decision-making.
Why should voters trust you?
Voters should trust me because my entire career has been dedicated to helping families find their place in our community, fostering relationships, and connecting people with the resources they need. Through my work in real estate and my deep-rooted commitment to Orland Township, I have always prioritized bringing people together and supporting local businesses.
If you win this position, what accomplishment would make your term in office as a success?
Success as an Orland Township Trustee means ensuring that our community has access to modern, relevant resources and services that meet the needs of all residents—from youth to seniors. I would start by evaluating current programs to determine their effectiveness and desirability, while actively engaging with residents to understand what additional services they want to see. My goal is to enhance and expand programs that foster inclusivity, accessibility, and community engagement, ensuring that Orland Township remains a place where everyone can thrive.
What are your views on fiscal policy, government spending and the handling of taxpayer dollars in the office you are seeking?
I believe in responsible, transparent spending that prioritizes essential services while avoiding unnecessary waste. Every taxpayer dollar should be used efficiently, with clear accountability on how funds are allocated.
What are your thoughts on the crime rate in your community, and what more can be done to combat crime — especially violent crime — in town?
We must continue working closely with law enforcement to prevent crime and ensure public safety. This includes supporting community initiatives, neighborhood watch programs, and youth engagement efforts to create a stronger, safer township.
What is your view of the city's/village's approach to commercial and residential development?
Orland Township has seen growth, but it is essential that development is done in a way that benefits both residents and businesses. We need to ensure that new developments align with community needs and infrastructure capacity.
When it comes to development, what are some key areas for improvement or additions you feel are most wanted by residents? What will need to be done to make this happen?
Residents want a balance of commercial and residential development that enhances property values while maintaining a strong sense of community. Improvements in infrastructure, better roads, and increased green spaces are priorities. To make this happen, we need smart zoning policies and collaboration with developers who share the township’s vision.
Is there any reason you would not serve your full term of office, other than those of health or family?
No, my intention is to serve my full term with dedication and commitment. I take this responsibility seriously and am fully prepared to uphold my role as Orland Township Trustee, working diligently to serve the community throughout my term.
What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
I am passionate about making Orland Township a great place to live, work, and raise a family. I bring fresh ideas, business experience, and a strong commitment to public service. My focus is on accountability, community engagement, and policies that benefit all residents.
