840 People At Orland Sky Zone Fight: Mayor
Police said a fight broke out at the Orland Park trampoline park Saturday night. 840 people were there, according to Mayor Keith Pekau.

ORLAND PARK, IL — A fight occurred inside Orland Park's Sky Zone Trampoline Park, an indoor recreational facility, Saturday evening, according to the Village of Orland Park. Police said the trampoline park, located at 66 Orland Square, Orland Park, was hosting a lock-in event when this incident occurred.
The Mayor of Orland Park, Keith Pekau, called Patch Monday Morning and updated the number of people at Sky Zone to 842 people, plus staff members. The Mayor said that there may have been more people there and the investigation is still on going.
Three minors were arrested, and an adult was arrested for driving under the influence, according to Pekau. The village said the event presented a clear and present danger to the health, safety and welfare of those present.

Sky Zone's max capacity is approximately 682 people, Pekau updated Monday morning, after initially telling Patch it was 260 people. The mayor was unable to specify details on the arrests but said the village is investigating, and that Sky Zone may be facing consequences, such as a loss of their business license. Sky Zone was cited for a number of violations, including two for reckless conduct and one for a fire code occupancy violation, according to a news release from the village.
"Last night’s event at Sky Zone is very concerning, especially considering the threat posed to the children,” said Mayor Keith Pekau, according to the release. "Intentional and willful acts that jeopardize public health, safety and welfare, and that are in clear violation of the Village Code and other laws have no place in our community. The Village has started the procedure necessary to begin the process of revoking Sky Zone’s business license."

According to police, officers arrived and shut the event down. Everyone in attendance, including juveniles, proceeded to the parking lot where they were directed by officers to be sent home, according to police. Officers requested assistance from neighboring agencies to make sure all minors were picked-up safely, according to the release.

WARNING: Graphic Language
Police said on Facebook that small disruptions occurred in the Sky Zone parking lot and Orland Park officers, along with officers from other agencies, restored peace.
Neither police nor the release said the reason behind the fight or what caused disruptions in the parking lot.
The Orland Park Police Department said that the area is safe and there is no threat to the community. The Village of Orland Park said reports about the incident circulating on social media were "disseminated" due to misinformation and "coupling" of incidents that occurred simultaneously in other municipalities.
"Please remember to consult official Village communication channels for accurate information regarding this and any other Village-related information," the village wrote in the release.
