Fire Destroys Rural Orland Park Home

A fire burned a one-story home in Orland Park on Sunday evening, requiring help from neighboring fire companies to control the flames.

ORLAND PARK, IL — A fire blazed on Sunday evening in Orland Park, burning and destroying a home, according to the Orland Fire Protection District.

The fire district said it responded to a 911 fire emergency call around 11:30 p.m. to 15530 117th Ct., in Orland Park. Crews faced heavy fire coming from the one-story frame property, according to the fire district.

Fire crews responded quickly to advance a line and extinguish the fire. The house was in a rural area without a hydrant nearby, according to the fire district. Mutual aid was also provided by fire companies from neighboring communities.

The fire district said the fire was put out quickly and the cause of the fire is unknown at this time. No injuries were reported.
