Fire Put Out At Building In Old Orland Historic District
An historic building on Beacon Avenue in Orland Park caught fire on Tuesday.

ORLAND PARK, IL â A building in the Old Orland Historic District caught fire Tuesday afternoon. An investigation by the Orland Fire Protection District concluded that the cause of the fire was electrical, the result of a heating and air conditioning contractor who was working on the building.
Firefighters responded to the scene in the 14300 block of Beacon Avenue to find the two-story, wood frame building with smoke coming out from the back. At the scene, it was updated to a still alarm, as several Orland fire companies "made an effective and quick attack, which prevented extensive damage to the historic building," a spokesman for the fire district said.
The damage was limited to the exterior walls of the building, with some smoke found within.
