Football Season 2023: Sandbug HS Eagles Schedule Set

ORLAND PARK, IL — There's still plenty of summer left, but high school football fans are already looking ahead. The Illinois High School Association released schedules earlier this week. Sandburg High School Eagles will start their season at home August 25, against St. Rita High School.

A nine-game regular season runs through the end of October before the postseason culminates with state championship games scheduled for the weekend of Nov. 24–25. The state final games have been moved to Illinois State University's Hancock Stadium in Bloomington-Normal. ISU will host the finals for five years.

Coached by Troy McAllister, the Eagles will follow up a 3-6 season in 2022.
