Former Orland Park Police Sergeant, Volunteer Dies: OPPD

ORLAND PARK, IL — A former Orland Park Police Department sergeant died this week, according to officials.

Robert Soukup served as a lieutenant and sergeant in the Orland Park Police Department in addition to volunteering for the department's Special Olympics involvement and Concerns of Police Survivors annual bike ride.

Information on Soukup's funeral and visitation had not been released as of Tuesday.

"Bob held numerous ranks within our Department," Orland Park police wrote in a social media post. "But his most important rank was friend, and that he had many."
