The Great Pumpkin Party Returns to Orland's Centennial Park October 5

Registration is required for the fall-themed event that features pony rides, hayrides, petting zoo, donut bobbing, hay maze and more.

ORLAND PARK, IL — The Village of Orland Park will kick off the fall season with the highly anticipated Great Pumpkin Party on Saturday, October 5 at Centennial Park near the Warming Center, located on Fun Drive west of West Avenue. This fun-filled outdoor event is offered in two sessions. The first session will take place from 10 a.m.– 12 p.m. and the second session from 1 to 3 p.m.

Each session will include pony rides, hayrides, petting zoo, donut bobbing, prize corral, barrel train car rides, straw maze, pumpkin patch, sensory corn bins, games, bounce houses, DJ, roasting marshmallows, candy guess, pumpkin weight guess, fall themed photo areas, costume contest, face painting and sponsor giveaways/activities. New for 2024 is the addition of the Trunk-N-Treat featuring a variety of local community organizations and businesses distributing tasty treats from their Halloween-themed vehicles. All activities at the Great Pumpkin Party are included in the ticket price.

The free children’s costume contest is an Orland Park favorite each year. Children are invited to dress up as their favorite characters and creatures. Prizes will be awarded for Best Overall Costume and Most Creative Costume. Children must be between the ages of 1 to 9-years-old to enter. To enter the costume contest, please meet at the DJ at 10:30 a.m. for the morning session or 1:30 p.m. for the afternoon session.

Ghoulish goodies will be available for purchase in the food court from participating food trucks and restaurants including Joeys Red Hots, Kona Ice, Traveling Toms Coffee, Taqueria Mi Taquito, Rainbow Cone, Happy Lobster and Chick-Fil-A of Orland Park.

All participants must purchase a ticket at orlandpark.org/pumpkinparty or day of at the main gate before each session to enter. Fee is $7 for children/adults and $3 for children 12 months and younger. Service fee will apply. All children will receive a goodie bag and ticket good for one pie-sized pumpkin (included in the fee) to pick from the pumpkin patch.

This is a rain or shine event. In the event of cancellation due to weather or other discretionary reasons, no refunds or credits will be issued. However, in the limited circumstances of cancellation caused by federal, state or local government directives, guidelines and recommendations relating to event cancellations, social distancing and/or other public health and safety measures only, ticket holders will be eligible for a full refund.
