CHSD 230 Previews Upcoming Revamped Website

This district hopes to have new websites for Andrew, Sandburg and Stagg high schools launched by July 1.

Consolidated High School District 230 is unveiling a series of new websites scheduled to launch by mid-summer.

A series of local surveys and community feedback efforts helped shape the redesign, which will include better search features and aesthetic improvements, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Four new sites will be launched in total—one each for Andrew, Sandburg and Stagg high schools and one for the entire district.

"We have a top-notch high school district in the state of Illinois and we want to make sure we're showing that with our first introduction to many members of the communities, members who are thinking about moving to the community," District 230 Communications Director Carla Erdey said.

The upgrades aren't particularly cheap, however. All-in-all, they cost the district $52,000 up front, in addition to an ongoing annual $7,000 hosting, supporting and streaming fee.

Currently, only the beta sites have been completed. If all goes well, the new sites will be up by July 1.
