Library Celebrates Tenth Year of Fan Fest with OPPLcon X
Library celebrates a decade of fandom with games, artists, costumes, and prizes at OPPLcon X Fan Fest.

The Orland Park Public Library is thrilled to announce the return of its beloved pop culture celebration, OPPLcon X Fan Fest, marking the tenth year of this exciting community tradition. The event takes place on Saturday, Nov. 8, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with a magic show finishing the day at 2 p.m. It promises a full day of fun for fans of all ages. Visitors can enjoy a comic-themed schedule of activities, including:
- Minecraft digital escape room with ArrayScape
- Artist Alley featuring talented local artists
- Interactive games and crafts
- A special performance by Scott Green, magician to the Chicago Bulls
As part of this milestone year, attendees will also have the chance to win fabulous prizes, including a Next Playground prize, awarded through a drawing at the event. Guests are encouraged to wear their best family-friendly superhero, princess, or comic-themed character costumes to join in the festive spirit.
Artist Alley will feature a variety of local creators, including Sowers Creations (Andrea Sowers), Olivia Villasenor, Randy and Kim Hogan, Ewelinko Art (Ewelina J.), Artistic Dragon Studios (Addie Afable), Emily Oliver, Bryana Volk, Mystery Unincorporated, FCJ Design (Gabriela Cervantes), The Bugmangaka (Kyle Robateau), Lavi HQ, Morgan Johnson, Galactic Crafters (Rachel Grimm), Whimsical WANDerings (Jessica Trudeau), Robert Gonzalez, and Argo Anime Club. Visitors will find comics, toys, prints, crafts, and merchandise available for purchase.

The Orland Park Public Library, located at 14921 S. Ravinia Avenue in Orland Park, Illinois, welcomes everyone to join in celebrating ten years of OPPLcon Fan Fest. Library hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
