Library To Host Discussion On Disappearance Of Amelia Earhart

Residents are invited to listen and explore theories of what happened to the famous female airplane pilot during her final flight.

ORLAND PARK, IL — The Orland Park Public Library is taking a nose dive into history with a new program that will explore the theories behind famed pilot Amelia Earhart's disappearance.

The program will take place Tuesday, Jan. 25 at 6:30 p.m. The discussion will be led by a reference librarian but will be open for residents to speak and learn about the infamous flight 84 years ago.

"History praises Amelia Earhart for her pioneer aviation efforts, but she is often remembered more for her final flight - one that has left many guessing what happened," a statement on the library's site said.
