Macy's To Hire 950 Illinois Employees During Hiring Event

ILLINOIS — Macy’s is hiring about 950 full- and part-time employees at its stores and distribution and fulfillment center throughout Illinois, including nearly 800 jobs in the Chicagoland area, according to a news release from the company.

In an effort to get more applicants, Macy’s is holding a national hiring event on July 15 at more than 500 stores and fulfillment centers across the country. Store hiring events will take place from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., while Macy’s Minooka Fulfillment Center’s hiring event will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., according to the release. The Minooka center is at 601 Midpoint Road.

The release states that Macy’s has a variety of opportunities available, with competitive pay, access to flexible scheduling, bilingual work environment, merchandise discount and the opportunity to earn additional bonuses.

Candidates are encouraged to apply online in advance of the hiring event at macysjobs.com. During the hiring event, walk-in applicants are also welcome for an on-the-spot interview, and could receive an offer the same day.

Macy’s is currently hiring for a variety of roles. According to the release, the majority of these roles are on the customer sales and experience team, as well as within merchandising and operations. Store colleagues may be eligible to earn a $250 referral bonus as an incentive for recruiting friends and family to join Macy’s store team, the release states.
