Meijer to Double Match Donations to Orland Township Food Pantry
The superstore will donate $20 for every $10 donated to help restock the shelves of the local food pantry.
Your $10 donation to the Orland Township Food Pantry could instantly triple, thanks to a special offer from Meijer.
The 15701 71st Ct. location will be contributing $20 for every customer’s $10 donation to the pantry during the company’s Simply Give program, April 12 and April 13.
Food Pantry Coordinator Marianne Hill said they’ve been working with Meijer through the Simply Give program for several years now. The donations come at a particularly opportune time in the year when reserves are often low, she said.

“Our customers never cease to amaze us with their continued support of our Simply Give program,” Co-Chairman Hank Meijer said in a release. “This initiative is a great way to thank them for their generosity by stretching their hard-earned contributions even further, and ensuring our food pantry partners have the supplies they need to feed an increasing number of hungry neighbors.”
Meijer donates more than 6 percent of its net profit each year to charities throughout the Midwest.
